These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SignMyLetters (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business.
1. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account and business information. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
2. Business verification
Certain features require business verification, including submitting a valid EIN and a government-issued identity document. We may approve, reject, suspend, or ban accounts based on our verification and risk review.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- create fraudulent, forged, or misleading documents, or impersonate any person or entity;
- upload identity documents or signatures you are not authorized to use;
- violate any law or the rights of others, or distribute malware or unlawful content;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
4. Documents & electronic signatures
You are solely responsible for the content of the documents you create and send, and for determining whether an electronic signature is appropriate and enforceable for your use. By signing through the Service, each signer consents to sign electronically. We provide the tools and a tamper-evident audit trail, but we are not a party to your documents and do not provide legal advice.
5. Fees, wallet & billing
- Your first two letters are free per business account.
- After the trial, sending a document for signature costs $0.50 per signee.
- You prepay via a wallet, which can be loaded between $5 and $100. Charges are deducted from your balance when you send a document.
- If a document is cancelled before any party has signed, the corresponding charge is returned to your wallet. Otherwise, charges are non-refundable except as required by law.
- We may change pricing prospectively; changes will be reflected in the Service.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and our licensors. You retain ownership of the content you create; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any document will be legally enforceable in a given jurisdiction.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
